Great Sword
1 - 4 
1 - 4 - Defender Great Sword V
Replace Crisis/Expert jewel with any Expert or x/Expert jewel if you have any. If you have unlocked HR augments, use affinity + health.
Once you reach 3 , replace the weapon with the Beo Slasher II.

5 - Guild Palace Blade
Replace Crisis/Expert jewel with any Expert or x/Expert jewel if you have any.
Note: Stats shown in the image may be inaccurate.
6 Build 1
6 - Royal Venus Blade
Early Guiding Lands farming build. Use any x/Expert jewels to replace recommended deco - though Fortify is highly recommended.
6 Build 2
6 - Jagras Deathclaw II (MR50)
Augment build, alternative to other set. Use any x/Expert jewels to replace recommended deco - though Fortify is highly recommended.
Long Sword
1 - 3 Build 1
1 - 3 - Defender Katana V
Set can be used throughout all of MR as long as you upgrade your weapon. Replace Crisis/Expert jewel with any Expert or x/Expert jewel if you have any. If you have unlocked HR augments, use affinity + health.
Once you reach 2 , you can replace the weapon with the Crimson Viperfang I if you want a paralysis weapon.

1 - 3 - Defender Katana V (Drachen Armor)
Requires you to farm Behemoth. Set can be used throughout all of MR as long as you upgrade your weapon. Replace Crisis/Expert jewel with any Expert or x/Expert jewel if you have any. If you have unlocked HR augments, use affinity + health.
Once you reach 2 , you can replace the weapon with the Crimson Viperfang I if you want a paralysis weapon.
